About Us

Jeremy Good riding his bicycle on the day he first rode
without stabilisers.
Jeremy Good (pictured left) has poor balance due to hemiplegia. In 2 years he had learned other cycling skills
but, despite much assistance and effort, been completely
unable to learn to balance. This was until his Chartered
Engineer father, David, designed the first balance training
stabilisers. Jeremy's progress was dramatic. In about 2
months he was able to balance and ride his bicycle really
well.
The first commercial production run was made in 1991 when
Good Designs was set up, and the new improved design, the "Adjustabilisers"
stabilisers were first manufactured in 1995.
The balance training method was very successful in
helping children with balance problems to learn to balance
and ride ordinary bicycles. It was therefore obvious, that
if these stabilisers could be mass produced at a similar
cost to ordinary stabilisers, then they could be a great
help to all children. The licensed out "Balance Trainers",
now a Millennium Product, are the result.
